This is appropriate for almost all custom provisioning templates.

Device template or profile template?

Device template

Applies to the physical handset or base regardless of the logged-in hotdesk user.

Profile template

Applies to the hotdesk user and can follow that user between supported devices. Some handset settings may remain after logout until another template overwrites them.

Template recovery information

To undo a custom change, generate a new template that restores the parameter's documented default or undo value. Remove the previous template, then apply the undo template.

If a handset becomes unreachable:

Remove the custom template from the device or profile.
Use Reset & Reconnect in the provisioning portal.
Factory reset the handset.
Allow it to reconnect and download standard automatic provisioning.

Yealink handsets can usually be reset by holding the OK key. Some models vary.
